I was born in the small town of Roanoke, VA, nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains where I lived until I attended college. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington drew me in with its beach town vibes. Growing up in the mountains to surfing the North Carolina coast has set a deep-rooted love of nature within me that continues to inspire me and my design aesthetic. Home is now in Boise, ID where I relocated with my husband, 2 girls and border collie in 2018.  You can find me playing with the family, mountain biking, trail running, doing yoga or working on home projects in my free time.

My path to interior design was a winding one. After earning a degree in Biology, I initially embarked on a career as an assistant scientist, conducting tests on raw materials for a pharmaceutical company. After a few years I transitioned to the business side of things, delving into project management. This experience eventually led me to my former role as a Foreign Trade Representative for a Fortune 500 global company, a position I held for nearly a decade. However, during the pandemic, I decided to bid farewell to the corporate world and pivot towards my lifelong hobby and passion for interior design. Studio Flora Interiors and Décor was born.

In my philosophy, I firmly believe that a home should serve as a sanctuary, shielding us from the chaos of the outside world. It should also be a reflection of the people who reside within its walls, encapsulating their experiences, lifestyle, and passions. As a specialist in creating beautiful and highly functional spaces, I focus on optimizing flow and efficiency. My ultimate goal as a designer is to provide you and your family with a space that exudes both beauty and functionality, ensuring everything you need is precisely where you need it. I would be truly honored to assist you in creating, updating, renovating, or organizing your home.
